Description
Breathless Sparkling Wines was born out of a passion held by three sisters, Sharon, Rebecca and Cynthia, to spark breathless moments in the lives of others. Breathless Wines is dedicated to community involvement and the support of worthy causes, particularly those that help disadvantaged women achieve their life’s goals, and to Alpha-1, the disease that afflicted their mom. Inspired by the joie de vivre and passion for philanthropy passed down by their mom, Martha, together the sisters enlisted the talents of long-time friend and renowned sparkling winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster. The sisters are proud to present a trio of fruit-centered, méthode champenoise sparkling wines featuring yeasty notes that create an elegant balance in the mouth, and a deep anticipation for another sip.
Breathless Brut
Breathless Tasting Note
A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the Breathless Brut’s fine mousse tantalizes the palate with a refreshing effervescence. Enjoy pink grapefruit, green apple, and citrus flower aromas with just a hint of yeast. Aged 12 months.
Wine Review Tasting Note
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir aged 12 months on the lees, this is a very easy drinking California sparkler with a creamy palate and light pear and yeast aromas and flavors. Compared to Brut Champagne, this wine is a little sweet but just right as an aperitif drink. Score – 89
Tastings Tasting Note
Pale amber salmon color. Delicate, fruity aromas of peach, lemon marmalade, and honeyed toast with a supple, vibrant, finely carbonated, fruity light-to-medium body and an effortless, captivating, medium-length kiwi, honeyed lemon, and gold raspberry finish with fine, fruit tannins. A zesty, refreshing sparkler that will be quite versatile. 92 Points, Date Tasted: 12/10/2015
Wine Enthusiast Tasting Note
Tempting fruit and spice aromas come up with the finely textured bubbles. The flavors are layered, intricate and rich, suggesting red cherries, crisp apples, cinnamon and more. A light salmon color makes this look like a rosé but it’s not labeled as such. It’s generous, complex and delicious. Score – 90. (JIM GORDON, Wine Enthusiast, 12/1/2014)
