Description
Bodegas Frontonio
Frontonio is located in the village of Épila, in the IGP Valdejalón in Aragón. They have acquired up to 17 plots of old vines (all around the village of Alpartir), some planted as early as 1890, up to 55 hectares, and have an old traditional winery they are restoring. In 2019 they are going to launch two new wines from an exceptional vineyard, El Jardín de las Iguales, a valley where they are really investing and planting some more, even recovering old terraces and rebuilding the ancient dry stone walls. The current output is 135,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes
The 2016 Botijo Rojo Garnacha fermented in stainless steel and matured in concrete for one year. It feels very harmonious, balanced, and complete, approachable, and easy to understand but with complexity and depth. This is a delicious, juicy, floral Garnacha. There were 60,000 bottles produced and was bottled in June 2018.
