Côteaux du Layon is a lovely winery well known for its production of sweet wine. Located in the Loire Vally Anjou district, Côteaux du Layon is well known as one of the largest sweet wine appellations, covering approximately 4,200 acres (1,700ha) of vineyards. The topography of the area is what accounts for this winery’s success. Summer mist from the surrounding rivers encourages the growth of the botrytis fungi, which are an essential ingredient for the production of the best Côteaux du Layon wines.

The wines produced from this vineyard are a deep gold in color with a hint of green. Upon maturation, the green evolves into a lovely auburn. The fragrance of this wine will delight your olfactory senses with its intense and complex aromas. You may catch hints of acacia flower, lemongrass, candied fruit, and honey. One sip will reveal an unctuous texture that is balanced with fresh acidity and delightful fruit flavors.
