Description
Czar’s Gold vodka is an elite beverage intended for the classiest of people and their distinguished guests. It has an extremely refined and soft taste.
Nowadays, true Russian vodka connoisseurs have the opportunity to taste and enjoy the same delicious vodka taste the Russia Kings once did.
When you try Czar’s Gold for the first time, you play a small part in the history of our great country.
2. The Legend:
Long ago, during the times of the Russian Empire, The Kings would drink from chalices made of the purest gold.
When a beverage remained in one of these “golden goblets” for same time it was believed that it gained the power to grant a person nobility and youth.
Sometimes, as a sign of his good will, The King would offer a Boyar or another special guest a drink from one of his magical chalices.
Tradition dictated that when a person was blessed in such a way they were expected to drain the goblet in one drink, keep their balance, and give a low and respectful bow to the monarch who had shown them such kindness.
For a long time The Russian King’s vodka recipe had been kept a secret. But now in Saint Petersburg, the former capital of the Russian empire, we have recaptured the original “Czar’s Gold” taste and made it accessible to the contemporary vodka connoisseur.
3. Creation History:
In order to properly commemorate the 300th anniversary of Saint Petersburg in 2003, some extraordinary trips to Russia’s past were made.
One of the most interesting ideas was to recreate the original vodka taste that had been served to the Romanov family for more than 200 years. In those days the precious beverage was intended only for the most elite government members, but ironically, it would later be the government itself who expressed the idea that the drink should be made available for all the connoisseurs of Russian vodka.
Ladoga’s “Czar’s Gold” vodka ended up opening the anniversary collection for this special ceremonial date. It won the strong drinks competition and became the official drink of the northem capital’s anniversary.
It was presented in all the most important festival events, and even served to President of Russia himself. And in 2006, “Czar’s Gold” received the special privilege of becoming the official of the G8 Summit. It stood on the tables of the leading world powers gathered at Konstatinovsky Palace in Streina.
