Khanskaya Vodka – An example of everything a premium vodka should be, Khanskaya Vodka is one of Kazan’s latest and greatest projects. Only recently introduced in Russia, it has proven to be a big hit and is ready to make its debut here in the United States. At the 10th Jubilee International Exhibition “Wine-Vodka-2003”, Khanskaya Vodka won the Gold Medal.
The name Khanskaya is a derivative of the word “Khan” the title of Mongolian rulers during the Middle Ages. In 1437, Khan Mukhammed the Great founded Kazan Khanate. It was the time of constant wars, conspiracies, palace intrigues, teeming treasures, lavish feasts and talented adventurers. During this epoch, an extraordinary person who had strength, wisdom, sagacity, and the talent of a military leader could increase the size of his demesne and his power.
