La Motte Wine Estate is a family-owned winery that’s located in Franschhoek Valley, South Africa. The winery is operated by the Rupert family. La Motte is committed to making the wines of exceptional quality. The winery has been around since 1970. The winery uses grapes from different vineyards for making La Motte Syrah 2013. Grapes are grown in different areas. Each of areas has its own unique macroclimate. It’s also important to note that vineyards are grown in soils of different types. It’s important to know that this full-bodied wine is the blend of several wines – Walker Bay (41%), Paarl (36%) and Franschhoek (23%). La Motte Syrah 2013 is all about good intensity and high natural acids. At the stage one, grapes were harvested within a month. At the stage two, grapes were cool-fermented in French oak barrels. After that, wines matured for 14 months. Finally, the wine was blended, lettered and bottled. The wine production finished in October 2014. Totally, 10 000 cases of wine were produced by the winery. La Motte Syrah 2013 is a well-balanced wine with a juicy palate. While drinking the wine you’ll feel delicious flavours of pepper spices and plums. The wine also has savory and leathery notes.
