Ricominciare Altisimo Malbec 2009
Wine Enthusiast Tasting Note
This is an unusual, exotic take on Malbec. The bouquet delivers cardamom, sandalwood and spiced black currant aromas. In the mouth, it’s grabby with pinching tannins. Blueberry and cardamom flavors end ripe, with decent follow through. Drink now.. Score – 90. (MICHAEL SCHACHNER, Wine Enthusiast, 2/1/2016)
Artisan Tasting Note
100% Hand-harvested, AGING: Light aging in new French oak barrels, TASTING NOTES: Aromas of sandalwood, exotic spices, cherry cola incense and black fruits. The palate is complex, ripe and plush with good balance and length. 90 WE (2009), 91 WA (2008)
Vinofino Tasting Note
An exotic style of Malbec with Middle Eastern spice, violet, anise and berry aromas. The palate has hammering tannins but enough body to absorb it, leaving herbal black fruit, fig and peppery flavors. Warm and toasty on the finish, with savory notes that last for a good long while.
